Brushing 101

Healthy brushing habits start with the very first tooth. Here is how to build a routine your toddler will actually turn up for.

First toothStart brushing as soon as it appears, usually around 6 months
Twice a dayMorning and night, about 2 minutes each time
Smear, not squeezeUse a smear of low-fluoride toothpaste for under 3s
Every 3 monthsSwap in a fresh brush head, sooner if bristles splay
Cap onUse the protective cap for hygienic storage and travel

Make it a game, not a battle

01

Pick a buddy

Let your toddler choose their brushing character: Ludo, Gigi, Teddy or the monkey himself. Ownership is half the battle won.

02

Brush together

Gentle circles over every surface while the sonic vibrations do the hard work. Brush your own teeth at the same time and keep it light.

03

Keep it fresh

Rinse, cap on, and swap the brush head every 3 months. Book the first dental check-up around their first birthday.
